About Meta-aramidMeta-aramid is an aromatic polyamide fiber. The full name is polyisophthaloyl metaphenylene diamide fibre (PMIA). Meta-aramid is one of the fastest growing high-tech organic fibers, which exhibits outstanding properties of thermal stability, flame resistance, electrical insulation, chemical stability and radiation resistance. It is widely used in aerospace, high-speed trains, firefighter apparels, training uniform, work wear, environmental protection, industrial high-temperature materials, automobile hoses, senior sound dampers, electrical insulation and other important areas. Technology of meta-aramid manufacturing is very complex. All over the world only USA (DuPont Nomex®), China, Japan (Tejin®) and Russia have abilities to produce it with total capacity of about 40,000 tons per year.
NewStar® Meta-aramid NewStar ® is a top brand name of Meta-aramid in China with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 product class 1 certificate. Items from 0.8d to 13d are available in raw white, solution dyed and easier dyeable in varieties of filament, tow, short-cut and staple for many different applications.
Key Characteristics :Heat Resistance: NEWSTAR® mata-aramid has long-lasting thermal stability. It can be used for long hours at the high temperature of 204℃ and maintains excellent dimensional stability. It will not embrittle, soften or melt when it is exposed temporarily to high temperature of 300℃.
Flame Resistance: With LOI≥28, NEWSTAR® meta-aramid is inherently flame resistant. It does not self burn or melt in the room air, no combustion-supporting, and has the property of self- extinguishing. It starts to get carbonized at 400 ℃.
Electrical Insulation: NEWSTAR® meta-aramid fiber has very good electrical insulation property. The dielectric strength of meta-aramid paper is up to 20kv/mm.
Chemical Stability: NEWSTAR® meta-aramid fiber has a very stable chemical structure. It is resistant to most strong inorganic acid and to alkalis at room temperature.
Radiation Resistance: NEWSTAR® meta-aramid fiber shows good resistance to α, β and ultraviolet radiation. Mechanical Properties: The low-rigidity and high elongation of NEWSTAR® meta-aramid makes it available for processing by conventional textile machinery. Staple fiber can be processed into a variety of fabrics and non-wovens.

NEWSTAR® meta-aramid is playing an irreplaceable role in a variety of different areas with its characteristics of heat stability, inherently flame resistance, electrical insulation, corrosion resistance, radiation resistance and good textile properties integrated together.
Personal Protection EquipmentTaking the advantages of high temperature resistant and good spinning properties, NEWSTAR® meta-aramid has outstanding performance in the protective apparel area. With characteristics of no burning, no melting and no poisonous, clothing made from NEWSTAR® meta-aramid is widely used in metallurgy, construction, shipbuilding, petroleum, power, chemicals, forestry, firefighting and many other fields. It is the best material for protective clothing. According to different working environment, the protective uniform can be made from dope dyed fiber or easy dyeable raw white fiber. The dope dyed fiber is usually recommended to satisfy high standard applications like fire fighting worker and oil field worker suits. Different blends of meta-aramid with other fibers are also available for special requirements.
About Para-aramidPara-aramid belongs to the aromatic polyamide family. The full name is poly (p-phenylene terephthalamide), abbreviated as PPTA or Aramid.
Para-aramid is called one of the three high performance fibers in the world, with carbon fiber and high density high modulus polyethylene (HDPE) as the other two. Only several countries like the U.S (KEVLAR®), Russia(ARTEC®), South Korea and China can produce it.
TAPARAN® Para-aramid TAPARAN®Para aramid is our brand name. It is widely used in the fields of automobile hose, optical fiber, friction and sealing and personal protection. It possesses outstanding properties of high strength, high modulus, high temperature resistance and flame resistance. It has advantages of relative low density, fatigue resistance, tear and shear resistance, dimension stability. It has irreplaceable position in areas like personal protection, aerospace, electrical communication, and etc.
Key CharacteristicsHigh Strength and High Modulus: Due to the high hydrogen bonds, the strength of Taparan®para aramid can reach up to above 28g/D. Its specific strength is 5-6 times that of steel wire , its specific modulus is 2-3 times that of steel wire or glass fiber , and its flexibility is 2 times that of steel wire while the weight is only 1/5 that of the steel wire.
High Temperature Resistance: Taparan®para aramid can be used continuously in a very wide temperature range from -196℃ to 204℃.It has no decomposing or melting at 500℃. Its tenacity remains 75% after 100hrs under 200℃.
Good Chemical Resistance: Taparan®para aramid is acid and alkali resistant, anti-aging with good adhesive force in rubber.
Main Products TAPARAN® para-aramid filament: It is available in 600Denier , 750Denier, 840 Denier, 1000 Denier, 1500 Denier, 3000 Denier, 6000 Denier and 9000 Denier.
TAPARAN® Para-aramid solution dyed filament : Solution dyed para-aramid filament. It is available in 600Denier , 750Denier, 840 Denier, 1000 Denier, 1500 Denier, 3000 Denier, 6000 Denier and 9000 Denier.
TAPARAN® Para-aramid Staple Fiber: It is cut from the crimped filament. It is available in lengths of 38mm, 51mm, 76mm with linear density of 1.5D to 4D. Due to its good properties in high strength, high modulus, heat resistance and cut-proof, it is widely used for thermal resistant nonwovens, spun yarns, covering yarns etc.
TAPARAN® Para-aramid Pulp: It is made from TAPARAN® Para-aramid filament (linear density of 1.5D). Due to its good properties in heat resistance, friction resistance, high strength, high modulus, it is widely used for friction and sealing materials, composites and aramid paper.
